Tess is our Hungarian Vizsla, she was born in April 2003 and has grown up with our Kids since being about nine weeks old.
Tess is registered with the Kennel Club as Afanleigh Honey.
We took Tess back to her original breeder, Mr E G Fishlock, to meet a stud dog. She had a good weekend away and came home pregnant!

Tess on the 7th February 2008 getting used to her new whelping box.
On the 11th February 2008 Tess' day had come. Following some classic signs of labour her first puppy was born. This photo is of her first puppy at 11:13, 3 minutes after the birth.
By 12:30 three puppies had been born, the third one was a little smaller than the other two.
By 18:30 her whole litter was complete - 10 in all. Varying sizes and characters.
Some appeared stripy at first but as they dried they turned the solid vizsla colour.
The next day they seemed to have settled down quite well. One unfortunately didn't survive the first night, it was the 9th to be born, Tess was exausted and the birth took a while possibly compromising the puppy. It was also very small.
Throughout the day the puppies became a little bolder, moving about more and feeding well.
By the evening of the second day the 9 puppies were spending a little more time sleeping now that Tess' milk production was fully under way.
On the fifth day the 9 puppies were growing well and becoming more active.
